I'd like to be able to search the backups for a given string. I could then find when a given piece of configuration first entered the system.

Just an update that this was implemented in 1.10.0 and going forward with the "Historic Config Search" feature.

The config search is extremely useful however with a large number of results it can be unwieldy. The option to export the results into a CSV file for further manipulation would really extend its use.
