Trying to add a pair of:
Name: Aruba Operating System Software.
Model: Aruba7220-US
Version: 6.5.4.18

I verified the user account can login and I verified the correct enable password. But I can't seem to get pass the discovery phase.

I get this error message on the discovery log

Code: Select all

Mon, 25 Jan 2021, 12:41 PM
Error: CLI mode change command not supported by device

Discovery log:
Service check:
  SSH: Service available

Service connection:
  SSH: Connection successful

Authentication:
  SSH: Login successful

Device discovery:
  Basic device info: UNSUPPORTED_DEVICE

Discovery of available CLI modes:
  Enable (privilege exec) mode: discovered
  Config (configure) mode: MODE_SWITCH_COMMAND_NOT_SUPPORTED
This is on the console

Code: Select all

Hi,

Likely our Aruba driver needs an adjustment to be able to adopt these devices.

Can you please enable both Debug options (Debug Logging and Device Output Logging) under "Zones > your_zone > Debug mode", and after the discovery fails, download both log files.

Please create a ticket on our Portal, and attach both logs, and we will investigate.

Thanks!

I have exactly the same issue with our 7210 Aruba Controllers. Good to see this as we are upgrading this coming summer to 7220's. Please post back the resolution as we'd like to continue testing Unimus as a replacement for SolarWinds.

The original poster sadly didn't get back to us with the logs. If you could please follow the steps in my previous reply and create a ticket with the relevant logs, we would be happy to fix this :)

Thanks in advance!

I have the debug files, but it seems I can't open a ticket since I am using the free 5 device trial. Is there any way I can still get this to the support team ?

You should be able to open a ticket on the Portal without any issues even on the free license.

Just log in to our Portal > Support requests > fill in the form > Create request.

I've also created a ticket #1263-341-476-14 and added the debug files (1/27/21), but it shows "waiting for your feedback" as a status without anything else. Not sure if that means you are waiting on me, or I'm waiting on you.

We asked for some more details (the Device Output Log file), can you check your emails (including spam) please if you received the ticket reply?
