Support for multiple devices behind NAT

Hi team,

I am currently evaluating Unimus and I am trying to add multiple devices that are (NAT'd) behind the same WAN IP address. At the moment, Unimus does not allow me to add more than one device and I get the error "Cannot add device. Device already exists".

Is it possible to add devices behind the same IP address but using different ports? For example:
These devices can be managed using SSH via different TCP ports:
  • MikrotikRouter1 - 1.1.1.1:8293
    MikrotikRouter2 - 1.1.1.1:8294
    MikrotikRouter3 - 1.1.1.1:8295
Please advise. Thank you in advance :)

Hello,

In Unimus, each device is identified by a single unique IP, for multiple reasons (happy to provide those if you are interested).
Therefore, we don't support NATed devices.

You have a couple options here:
1) use a VPN so each devices is directly routable from the Unimus server
2) deploy a remote Agent (proxy) into the remote network to communicate with the devices directly from the Agent (this is not yet publicly available, but should be in open Beta by the end of this month)

Hope this helps.
