We have a pair of Brocade switches that are failing discovery, with the current 1.7.2 just freshly updated.

I do note that when I telnet to the device, the prompts given look like this:

and that the user still needs to run the "enable" command before it can do anything.

"show version" lists this:

Hi,

So far all the Foundry / Brocade / Ruckus ICX switches (all same OS) that we saw did not require to be in enable mode to run "show version".
This is why the discovery is failing for you, since Unimus doesn't switch the device to enable mode before discovering it.
(since so far none of these devices needed it)

I have changed the IronWare driver to require switching the device into enable mode.
Could you please test 1.8.0 Beta if that works for you on these?

Thanks!

There was no change on my device.

Linuxhost$ telnet ip.ip.ip.ip
Trying ip.ip.ip.ip...
Connected to ip.ip.ip.ip.
Escape character is '^]'.

And by "by anything" I of course meant that the USERNAME user only has read-access to the device, no changes can be made until after entering the "enable" command.

Could we please setup a Webex session to further debug this issue?
Please PM me to work out the details.

Thanks!
