Hi There

I wish to run unimus on a server that is already using port 8085, is there an easy way to change the port unimus uses away from 8085?

What distribution are you running?
(.jar / .exe / Windows Installer / Debian installer)

You need to create a file 'C:\Program Files\Unimus\Unimus.l4j.ini'.
Inside the file, insert '-Dserver.port=9000', with the desired port instead of 9000.

Restart the Unimus service, and it should run on the configured port.

EDIT:
We also have a wiki article that explains how to configure port:

My windows installer version won't let me change or add a file to this folder... I have admin permissions for this server, and I can't seem to be able to figure out why I can't modify this folder. Any ideas, or is this normal for a new install?

Definitely not normal, you should be able to add/modify files here.

Maybe Windows UAC preventing you from adding/modifying files?
