Hi,

We're using NetXMS 3.5.90 and Unimus for config backups. We go through weekly failed backup and discovery checks. Now, we've dropped some clients in recent months and I try to remove them from the ever growing list of failed discoveries. I remove them one day, they come back the second. Rinse and repeat. Anyone have an idea what needs to be done to get these off our database permanently?

Thanks

Hello,

Do the removed nodes come back immediately, or only after some time?

Hi Tomas,

Thanks for replying.

Seems to be after some time, possibly when the system tries to discover the nodes. I've deleted 3 just now, they didn't show up immediately, I'll keep an eye on them.

Thanks

Is there any chance you use some Importers (NMS Sync) or Network Scan that keeps adding them?

Do you have anything in "Import history jobs" or ":Network Scan history" on the Dashboard?

Hi,

There's an import job configured to fetch the data from NetXMS.

Network scan isn't configured.

Below are the options from the "Other options"

Any idea what might be causing this?

Thanks

Like I mentioned - any chance the nodes (after deleted) are imported back from NetXMS?

Hi,

Alright, I think I found the problem itself. The sync folder in NetXMS never had these nodes removed in the first place, only the client nodes were removed before. Anything else that needs removing by any chance?

I don't admin Unimus/NetXMS all that much, so wasn't familiar with how some of it works, sorry. :)

Thanks
