We have a mix of Dell PowerConnect 3548P and 3524P switches running an assortment of firmware versions.

Only one of them has been properly discovered.
It was a PowerConnect 3548P running firmware 2.0.0.65 and boot version 2.0.0.0.
We have a handful of PowerConnect 3524P at the same location with the same firmware that fail discovery as "unsupported_device"

At a couple of other locations we have a mix of 3548P and 3524P running various older versions of the firmware.
All of them are discovered as "unsupported_device"

Is there a minimum firmware version required for the 3548P to be properly discovered?
Are the 3524P supported by Unimus?

Let me know what additional information I can provide.

Thanks,

Hi!

All of these PowerConnects should be supported - however the PowerConnect line is notorious for having quite different firmwares for just about each switch model (we currently have 5 different PowerConnect drivers in Unimus to handle all this) - so it's likely there is some incompatibility that none of our drivers can handle.

We would be happy to fix this and make sure all of these are properly supported.
Can you please enable Device Output Logging and Debug logging in Unimus?
(Zones > Default > Debug Mode > Device output logging AND Debug loging)

After this is enabled, please run a discovery on each of the failing PowerConnects (one by one, not together please).
After all the discoveries fail, please download both log files, and create a ticket on the Portal with both attached.

We will take it from there, and make sure everything works properly :)

Thanks!
