Hi!

I am using unimus for my fortigate backups and did just migrate from "username+password" to "username+ssh-key".

The backups are running without problems, but everytime a backup did start, the Fortigate is logging:

action="login" status="failed" reason="ssh_key_invalid" msg="Administrator admin login failed from ssh(xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) because of invalid ssh key"
Do you have any idea, why this happens?

Unimus does just report: "Successful Backup"

Thank you for your help

Hi
If you are using multiple SSH keys, you can avoid potential issues by ensuring the correct credentials are bound to the devices in Unimus. To do so, please follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Devices.
2. Select the desired device and click Edit.
3. Go to Credentials, then choose Bind....
4. From the list of previously created credentials, select the appropriate one and save your changes.

If credentials are not explicitly bound, Unimus will attempt to use any available credentials, which may cause issues.

Hi!

I did assign the key (and I am only using a single key for my test), but no success.
There is still the "ssh_key_invalid" error.

Do you have any other idea about that?

Thank you for your help!

Please create a support ticket at https://portal.unimus.net/#!support_requests. In response to the ticket, I will provide you with instructions for enabling Unimus debugging and collecting the necessary log files.

We will need these logs to investigate further and determine whether the issue is related to Unimus.
