I was wondering if it is possible to trigger a Unimus backup externally?

For example, our monitoring platform (LibreNMS) allows us to call a url on certain syslog events. Could we use a config change syslog message to trigger Unimus to run a backup of a certain device?

Hi, this is not possible yet.

We have a REST API on the roadmap scheduled for Q1 2018.

After the REST API is available, this will be possible.

This sounds like a good idea.

I use netXMS and I like the thought that if a node enters maintenance mode you could potentially trigger a backup automatically.

We now have API in beta status, and would really appreciate testing and feedback on the API:

Please let us know if what is there currently is enough for you to trigger Unimus functions from your NMSs, or other systems.

Thanks!
