Hi Tomas

Are you planning to add mimosa devices?

If you can provide us with SSH access to a Mimosa device, we will be glad to add support.
(a device in testing lab with a read-only account is of course completely sufficient)

Feel free to PM me if you are interested.

I don't believe Mimosa configurations are available via CLI. I've asked a time or two. If they are, I can capture the info and get it over.

We will be happy to add support if you could provide us with SSH access to one for development.

Please contact me over PM if that would be possible.

Thanks!

Hi Tomas,

Any chance you could list the minimum version numbers in the above list please?

e.g. I have a Cisco WLC. It discovered correctly first time, but backup failed. On rediscovery it thinks it's a Cisco SMB switch. Possibly I have an earlier version than supported (7.3).

Thanks,
Rich

That is actually kind of hard.
90% of our device drivers will work no matter what version of OS the device is running.

For example, if we implement support for MikroTik RouterOS v6, that will work much for any RouterOS really.
So it would be kind of incorrect to state that we only support RouterOS v6+.

For WLC specifically - our WLC support was developed on vWLC (since that was provided to us by the person asking for support).
So the problem is more likely related to physical WLCs outputting different things than vWLC, rather than version differences.
Of course, it could also be because of version issues (the vWLC was 8.2).

Sadly, vendors are quite inconsistent with how their OS behave across versions, and across various devices using that OS.
We try to make up for it by having best possible support, and fixing issues like this as fast as possible. :)
(since we know these issues will crop up, due to having to support different versions of different devices from many vendors)

If you could please provide me with a debug output of a failing backup/discovery run, I will be glad to fix it.
(just PM me the outputs)

Thanks!
