It would be nice to select how many and how long to keep backups. Now only the last 30 backups are saved? So if I have one backup per day I get 1 month retained but if I have 1 backup every hour I will only have the last 30 hours..

It would also be great if Unimus had the option to automatically diff a new backup against the last one and decide not to keep it if no changes where made. With this I could have a backup job every hour and only save ones that actually have changes made.
For this to work with Mikrotik I guess Unimus also would have to ignore the time and date at the top of the export.

There is currently no retention policy, an infinate number of backups should be saved.
If you only see last 30, it might be a bug worth looking into.

As for the things you asked, both of these are actually already selected for development after release.

You can keep track of them here:
Retention policy - https://tracker.unimus.net/browse/UN-32
Save backups only if different from current - https://tracker.unimus.net/browse/UN-33

As a side note: the tracker is still a work-in-progress, not all the things are in it yet, it will get more full and correctly setup over time.

Just an update on this topic, both of these requests are now implemented.

Retention policy was added back in 1.0.0, and saving only unique backups is now implemented in 1.6.0.
