Can we get an option to exclude certain devices from config change notifications? I LOVE the feature, but seeing our Mikrotik DHCP servers and firewalls in the change notifications every day makes it a bit spammy.

A simple toggle would be great, but even better would be an option to mark as DHCP server or Firewall and exclude changes to DHCP or Firewall related rules from notification, but let us know if some other part of the config changed.

The changes you are seeing are being made by you / your team manually right?
(as in, its not some dynamic / automatic rules that are generating incorrect notifications)

Do you think an exclusion-based system would work?
You could define an exclusion rule, which would basically be a regex that would define what to ignore for change notifications.
You could then select if this applies to all devices, or only certain Tags.

For instance, our Mikrotik DHCP server has static leases written and removed daily, so it is always on the list of devices with config changes. It would be nice to exclude a device from change notifications all together, but to go even further, it would be nice to exclude say anything under "/ip dhcp-server leases" from triggering change notification. This way if some other part of the configuration (firewall filters) were changed, we would still be alerted.

We’re in a similar situation. We back up our F5 load balancers with Unimus, but the F5s are integrated with Kubernetes using the CIS driver. Because CIS continuously updates the load balancer configuration as changes occur in Kubernetes, Unimus detects frequent configuration changes.

We run configuration backups every six hours with change notifications enabled, which results in roughly eight notifications per day, every day, just from the F5s.

Unfortunately, we’ve had to disable change notifications entirely to avoid being spammed with alerts, even though the feature is very useful for the rest of our network devices.

It would be extremely helpful to have the ability to exclude specific devices, or devices with a particular tag, from change notifications while still continuing to back them up normally.

You can still perform backups, and have backup notifications occur, but not be notified about changes from the Load Balancer configuration.
