Hi!
Any chance we can get backups enabled from the same IP but on different ports?
This would be very handy especially in managed wans where we have a central accessible router and many internet hidden routers that could be accessible via ssh port forward for example?
Any thoughts to this?
Sam
Multiple devices on same IP different port
Hi,
Currently our plan for uses-cases like this is to add 'Connection proxy' (name not final) functionality.
The proxy would be a small application that you could deploy into the remote network.
It would then connect to your central Unimus server.
In Unimus, you could define 'Device groups', and you could specify that a particular device group should always be connected to through the proxy.
So basically, all operations on remote devices from the central Unimus server would actually be done through the proxy deployed in the local network.
Would that be OK for your use-case as well?
Or do you specifically require support for adding multiple devices on the same IP and only separating by port?

Hey Tomas,
Thanks for the reply. It would depend on the meaning of 'application'. Most of these scenarios we only have mikrotik routers in there so if it is compatible with that it would work well. If not then it wont assist greatly in that form.
I was considering a script that may pull additional backup files into the primary device then unimus could grab secondary configs or the like possibly as an alternative?
