Hi,
it would be helpfull if unimus could also read the Switch Software version from Primary and Secondary.
This would be the first step to do Image Updates with unimus.
Is it possible to implement this?
Also to safe history to the Database, to have an log when a firmware update was deployed on device
Regards
Dominik
HP Aruba Show Switch OS Version in Unimus Primary Software and Secondary Software
Hi Dominik,
thank you for your suggestion! We hear you, and the feature to read both the primary and secondary boot images from devices is currently under development. Unimus will be able to pull multiple useful pieces of information from your network equipment (e.g., device serial number), and it will not be limited to HP Aruba switches—we will cover all of our supported vendors/device types.
For more details on our upcoming features, feel free to check our roadmap:
https://wiki.unimus.net/display/UNPUB/Roadmap
Regarding image updates, this can already be achieved with our Mass Config Push feature. You can refer to our blog articles, which describe scenarios for automating Cisco IOS and Mikrotik RouterOS upgrades:

https://blog.unimus.net/automating-cisc ... us-part-2/
https://blog.unimus.net/network-wide-mi ... th-unimus/
As for logging firmware update activities, Unimus logs when and by which user Config Push jobs were initiated. If you'd like to enable additional logging for Config Push (i.e., tracking which specific commands were pushed to which devices), you can follow the instructions on our wiki:
https://wiki.unimus.net/display/UNPUB/D ... +Push+jobs
Please let us know if you need any further assistance.
Best regards,
Ales
