Not sure if exactly feature request, but ie: Customer SXT facing our AP, but behind SXT is RB951. We do port forwarding in order to Winbox inside but do you have any thoughts on how to backup both in Unimus? Difficult to put inside device on different SSH port as once outside device is backed up, assume we move on to next device, not "device behind"?
Thoughts? or "Just don't do it?"
backup stacked devices?
The answer to this question is not that easy.
What I would recommend:
a) Backup all your devices from a single central Unimus server at your location.
b) Backup your customer infrastructure with their own Unimus instance inside their network. Raspberry Pi or similar micro computers are great for that.
What to do in case when your customer only has 2 devices (a CPE and a router) is the difficult situation, since its probably not worth it to have a Pi (or similar SBC) on every customer.
In this case, you should look for answers on the networking layer. The router should be directly reachable if you manage it, not behind NAT.
If your network is entirely routed, then all devices are reachable over their unique routed IPs, and you can back them all up directly from your central Unimus.
