Just an update - hopefully all special character issues should be resolved with 2.0.7.

Are you still using the default port (8085) locally, and using 8888 publicly?

We were able to replicate the mail issue - but only in some email clients. We already set encoding to UTF8 in the meta-tag for emails, but it seems some email clients ignore this.
