Re: Multiple Instances - Resilience
Hi, Indeed only addresses are passed to our servers, nothing else. Due to security reasons we don't plan to sync anything else. It it not possible to avoid this - since this is also used for licensing purposes. (Unimus needs to contact the license server once every 2 days or each time a device is ad...

Re: Brocade failure for discovery
Hi, So far all the Foundry / Brocade / Ruckus ICX switches (all same OS) that we saw did not require to be in enable mode to run "show version". This is why the discovery is failing for you, since Unimus doesn't switch the device to enable mode before discovering it. (since so far none of ...

Re: IPv6 inconsistency?
I apologize for the delay, we have been focusing on a rewrite of the discovery logic for 1.8.0 for the last 2 weeks.
The rewrite is almost finished, I will get to testing IPv6 as soon as we ship a 1.8.0 Beta with the new discovery algorithms

Re: Unimus is 'chatty' in the I/O
Please let me know how it ends up when there is enough memory on the VM. If you keep the default configuration (which is 768MB for Unimus), I advise having 1GB of RAM on the VM. (so when Unimus fills up its allowance, there is still something left for the system) If the disk IO spikes are still pres...

Re: Multi-tenancy / more granular user controls?
The Tagging works well to restrict devices to users (setting it up could be a little more intuitive if you care for that feedback) Feedback would be much appreciated. Is there any plan to refine the permissions further or otherwise target Unimus to an MSP/Multi-tenancy? When we were originally desi...

Re: Unimus is 'chatty' in the I/O
In a case where the system starts to swap, it's not just Unimus that is casing such IO. When RAM runs out, pretty much ALL Linux services use the swap for all their scheduled jobs / tasks. Basically, you are seeing the IO that the entire Linux system needs from the RAM when idle (using the word &quo...
